Lets see what Trevor has to say.

1. Why Pictures?

Alright, I’ll give you the honest answer. Because people seem to like the results and encourage me to keep shooting, because I like to remember places and share moments, because I have ocular hypertension and may go blind when I’m older, because it reminds me of my youth and makes me smile, because I like letting people know how I see things, because it’s rewarding, because life is short and you should do what you love, the rest will fall in to place.

2. What is the #1 thing on your list of things/places/people to photograph and why are they #1?

I don’t really have a thing, place, or person. I like connecting with people. It’s definitely an art, whether you have 10 minutes or 10 hours on a session together, If you can gain their trust and insure your good intentions then the photos will display that raw honesty. Same thing with places. No matter where you go you can find a shot and connect with it. But perhaps the Walled City of Kowloon before it got demolished. Because there was nothing like it. Not in my lifetime.

3. What was your first job as a kid and what did you learn from it?

Probably watching my younger brother for an hour or so one day. We ended up fighting and I put his head through a small window in the front door. I saran wrapped the window and used a hair dryer to make it tight and take out all the wrinkles. I was pretty happy with my technique and the fact my parents couldn’t recognize the missing glass. At least that’s how I remembered it. My bro’s cool, he was like Gumby back then.

4. Do you have any skills in the kitchen? If yes, what’s your signature dish, if no why the hell not?

I don’t think any man should say NO to this question. So YES! come over I’ll make your favorite dish with your mom’s secret recipe.

I remember I made my parents a 7 layer burrito in high school. They were champs for enjoying that one. I made this girl manicotti in College. I thought

I was boss. C’maan, it sounds pretty fancy. Like ahh, hey, Maybe you should come over and I can make you some Manicotti! She dipped before dessert.

Claudia! you played me girl.

5.  If you could offer an aspiring photographer 1 piece of advice for improving the quality of pictures taken what would that be?

Be a sponge and feed your evolving craft.  Humble yourself but have conviction. Learn the balance. If you dream of photography, IF it’s the last and first thing you think about then you probably have what it takes.

6. What is the #1 Junk Food you just can’t ever refuse?

I never liked Doritos but in 1986 they released cooler ranch (now cool ranch) and those chips blew my mind. I’m pretty sure that red and green powder is crack.

7. If you could have 1 super power, what would it be and how would you use it?

I would have the power to create Zombies so the entire Rec-League could pony up and live the dream. Walking dead steez aka We would murk zombies bruh!

8. If $100,000 dropped in your lap right now what would you do with it?

I Buy a Leica S2, Buy an official around the world ticket, throw a going away party at the 20x24 Polaroid camera studio.

Bonus Question: Now that you’ve tried it, what’s your opinion of GreenLight Jerky?

It taste like magic!
